Hello November

Many many thanks to all of those who came out to the eastern shows in October, it was so cool to see you all. Thanks to Jared, Burger, Michelle, Chris, Mark, Daley, and of course, Mom & Dad for all the help getting me to the shows and putting up with me for one or many nights, it sure was fun! PEI - thanks to my Edmonton pal Scott Cook for letting me open the night up and to Hal Mills for hosting such a warm night. I’ll be back out to the Dunk, for sure. McQuaid, it was great to catch up after all this time man. Moncton - Jared, Tanya, Kramer, Miyah, Burger and Jessi, it was sure nice to see all of you again. Brings me back. Thanks to Alex for booking me at the lovely Plan B, to Brock and all the Divorcees, you dudes are tops in my books. Aces, in fact. Halifax - Jared and Burger for the drive from Moncton, the road pops and Bob Seger. Even hungover, there isn’t much better than road pops, Bob Seger, and afternoon rain on the window. Fitzy, Lori, Matt & Paige, your faces make me smile. All such fine, fine folks, that I’m lucky to know. Chris and Michelle, it sure was nice and therapeutic to hang and chat about everything under the sun, thanks for that ..... and for having everyone in and making such a great thanksgiving meal, I really do have a lot to be thankful for.  Ottawa - What a shock to see so many familiar faces in a place I haven’t been very often. Sean and Anthony - great playing. It is a very special moment to see relatives playing music, let alone on the same bill. Heather, thanks for all the support, glad “Caught A Train” hit home. Grammy K wrote it, really. Matty Doucette for the place to crash and hospitality, you’re a stellar kat man. Matty Compton, hope you dig the record. Dave Junker, Rohit, and all who came out were so supportive, means a lot. I’ll post some of those great pics soon! Toronto - Mark and Michelle, thanks so much. Mark for jetting us everywhere, thanks brother. You’re missed in the cowtown, that’s to be sure. Was great to hang out again. Daley, Shel, Mella, and Jimmy - thanks boys. It is always so special to play with you. You’re all very talented and that was a very cool night at the Tranzac I won’t soon forget. Greg, Pat, and Brendan, great to hang out at the Cameron and hear you play. Such great songs Mr. Cockerill. All my Toronto family and friends, I think of you often and it was good to see you. Something about the Toronto streets man. Scotty Campbell & His Wardenaires -  thanks for letting me play some songs at the beautiful Cadillac Lounge with you, there’s no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Listen to some real country music, have a pint, and chat with Scotty Campbell, and you just feel better, can’t say much more. And mom & dad, thank you. Really enjoyed sitting and talking in Alexandra. The distance between here and there is huge, too much some days. Your support means a tonne.

Holy smokes, I hope everyone had as much fun as I did, I’ll be smiling as I think about these good times for a long while!

And this just in - “Old Soul” was #27 on the Freeform American Charts for September. Not bad eh? Feel free to request songs from Old Soul on CBC Radio 2 or any other station you think should be spinning it! And remember folks, Christmas is coming! I know, I know. But, if you would like a copy of Old Soul, which does make a stellar present by the way, head into one of the listed stores or order one up through the fine folks at KERF. I hope this note finds everyone well, and as always .....

Continue to support live original music folks, it probably means more than you think it does!

Yer pal,
Scott
